Welcome to Wanchese Marina
We are located in Wanchese, North Carolina, a village on Roanoke Island famous for it’s fishing culture, beautiful views, and quick access to the Atlantic Ocean. The town of Wanchese was named after "Wanchese" the last known ruler of the Roanoke Native American tribe encountered by English colonist in the sixteenth century. Wanchese was also the site of the first fishing village on Roanoke Island.
Wanchese can easily be considered as home to the true character of the Outer Banks. Salty, rustic, and scenic, a trip through Wanchese allows visitors to have an up-close-and-personal view of everyday Outer Banks life.
